Five Human Outfits that have been Dog-ified

Whether you are keeping warm or flaunting fur in the sunshine, dog fashion is on the rise. We’ve rounded up five of the best outfits for your pooch that will rival Melbourne Fashion Week  this year.

Coat the Label

Meet your whippet’s new winter friend: the snood. According to Coat the Label, snoods are based on the “seamless uniting between scarf and hood.” As whippets have a small bone structure and are certified long-bois and noodles, they’re known for getting cold during the winter months, so the snood adds an extra layer of warmth. It can be pulled up around their ears or on their neck like an infinity scarf. Coat the Label also offers The Classic Coat jacket for whippets that want some extra warmth, available in black, white and grey, as well as a seasonal colour (this season is mustard yellow), so you can take walkies in style. After wanting to find a functional and basic coat for her whippet, Stevie, founder Jemma Thomas decided to create Coat the Label, based in Melbourne. Made from premium merino wool, it’s designed to keep whippets warm, while allowing them to still be stretch out and be the couch potatoes they are born to be.

Walkee Paws

Leaving your leggings at yoga and give your dog a walk with Walkee Paws, which are the first dog leggings to hit the market. With an easy-clip on design for functionality; waterproof booties that can be used to protect paws against rain, snow, hot pavement and allergies; and four way stretch fabric that comes in colourful patterns, they’re set to turn heads at the dog park. Walkee Paws are perfect for those that live in the city and don’t want their dog bringing half of the park back with them over their nice cream carpet.

You can match your dog’s lead and coat together, or go for a vivid combo with stripes, cargo or stars to complement their red or black lead. You can even get a custom-made monogram sweater, if you’re feeling extra boujee and want to make a statement.
